In the July 2015- June 2016 fiscal year, 812 Senior Corps - RSVP volunteers provided 87,044 hours of service to mentor youth, tutor adult language learners, assist economically disadvantaged individuals receive services, and help seniors remain independent. You gave $2.153 million in services to the community.

Aging in Place Help people who are homebound or have disabilities, receive food, transportation, and other services to maintain independence.
Education Helps engage economically disadvantaged students in K-12 schools.
Economic Opportunity Help economically disadvantaged individuals receive literacy training, job training, and other skills development.
Capacity Building Volunteers uses skills and expertise to help nonprofits in the area increase the ability to meet their mission. Help support agencies through HandsOn Suburban Chicago training programs such as Service Enterprise Initiative or with direct service to the organization such as developing marketing or strategic plans, or as board members.
Who is Senior Corps-RSVP?
•800 members in northern Cook and northern DuPage counties
•Occasional or weekly opportunities such as delivering meals to the homebound
•Ongoing positions such as grant administrator or board member
Senior Corps-RSVP members receive supplemental accident and personal liability insurance, mileage reimbursement for specific opportunities, and the opportunity for additional recognition through the President’s Volunteer Service Award when serving in our impact areas.
